A CD written and recorded by Stephanie Pauline as a surprise for her husband and presented to him on their wedding day. This one required “lots of lying – the good kind!” jests Stephanie, with a wink. Recorded in LA at Amp Studios and Coproduced by Chris James and Stephanie Pauline, this CD is a gem collector’s item. All the songs on it were inspired by her husband save the one she penned for her dad and presented as a surprise to him during the father/daughter dance at her wedding. This CD is really just a celebration of love and life, and is home to some precious songs. “Yes”, “A Wedding Invitation” and “Beautiful Day” are all wedding ceremony classics – used by fans across the US on their special day. “Stay,” “I Can Do That,” and The Lilacs are In Bloom” are beautiful statements of such vulnerable, yet secure love. The best kind.
I Tunes Review by Chris James
Stephanie's “Deep Blue Sky” CD is absolutely lush and gorgeous. Her soaring vocals and beautiful melodies make this CD a must have. She manages to combine folk, pop, and rock in a synergetic way that is just candy for my ears. I Can Do That, Beautiful Day, Stay, and Lilacs are among the best. Stephanie has songs reminiscent of Sarah McLachlan, Shawn Colvin, and Paula Cole, all the while managing to keep a style all her own. While there is a couple of weak songs on the album, overall this album is top notch!
