More than Music Inc. was made an official 501 c-3 non profit organization in 2004 enabling supporters to give tax deductible gifts to further the work. Founded and presided over by Stephanie Pauline More than Music currently consists of a small band of volunteers, supporters, and workers that seek to facilitate the art and mission that God has entrusted to Stephanie. The future goals, however, are set to extend far beyond just the creative inklings of one woman. Indeed these goals are beginning to be met. (I.e. MtM recently sponsored a couple tours by the Sonflowerz, and Melanie Sorensen's 10 month environmental mission to Kenya, Costa Rica, Fiji, and Mongolia.)

We helped facilitate a year long mission; Melanie Sorensen went to a host of countries through MtM, sharing her faith personally while helping to educate others about how to care for their natural resources.

The Mission: To revolutionize the culture at large, one heart at a time, through the means of multimedia, ministry, and money given until everyone on earth knows and lives the love that is in Jesus Christ.

The Mission in its Application: By God's grace, we will faithfully deliver the music, the messages, and the love God has given to us through concerts, speaking engagements, publishing, and our everyday interactions. We will pay employees an average wage salary filtering all excess funds into partner non-profits, world relief efforts, varying means of social evangelism, and back into the further development of MtM. We will strive to keep God and our families first, and to live above reproach.

Accomplishments to date

• We have performed hundreds of concerts. From civic centers, churches and theatres to detention/treatment centers, coffee shops, pubs, public and private schools, we share this message wherever we can.
• We have regular song plays on over 600 radio stations, (Christian, College and Pop/Rock) all around the world. Stephanie has done lots of radio interviews sharing her heart and her songs.

(Thousands upon thousands of people have been moved to tears and deep authenticity by the power of God working in their lives through MtM. Stephanie Pauline has been embraced by those young and old in the church and in drug rehab facilities. "I have felt their tears brush against my face as I hold them and let them cry with me. I am so thankful and humbled that my story of brokenness and redemption has been a catalyst of healing for so many.")

• We have helped purchase beds for 100 + orphans in India, and helped raise money for some short term work in India through Pikes Peak Christian Church.
• We have handed out free food and Bibles to many during our More than Music in the Park events, held in downtown Colorado Springs.
• We sent money to help with the Tsunami, and raised thousands for a battered women's shelter, (The Dwelling Place).
• We have sponsored two tours by the Sonflowerz to the UK, and the US.
• WMelanie Sorensen went to a host of countries through MtM, sharing her faith personally while helping to educate others about how to care for their natural resources.
• We have ministered to countless people through our newsletter and web sites.

Our Short Term Plan to Accomplish our Mission

• We will continue to deliver the music entrusted to Stephanie Pauline to the masses through direct contact, concerts, radio play, online resources, and community sites.
• We will continue to funnel the profits of our CDs to worthy causes and back into MtM. 50% of the profits of Stephanie Pauline's latest 2 albums are committed to Youth for Christ, the ministry MtM partners with in reaching incarcerated youth, and to The Dwelling Place, a battered women's' shelter in the Twin Cities. We also raise money for MtM through the air play of Stephanie Pauline's songs. All of the air play royalties of the songs she has thus far produced are committed entirely to MtM. This means every time one of her songs are played on a radio station, that money goes straight to MtM. Likewise concert fees and CD sales go to MtM.
• We will continue to receive donations from invested supporters. Stephanie Pauline is planning to continue to waive her salary as she has since MtM's conception to help enable the goal of funneling the profits of her life's work to worthy causes and world relief efforts. Due to this and other efficiencies MtM has very little overhead creating a high cost to direct impact ratio for our supporters. (See contact page for more information on how you can help.)
• As money is raised both from supporters, and ongoing income (CD sales/digital downloads/radio play) we will do more; more concerts in detention centers/treatment facilities, more CD and Bible hand outs in those facilities, more food handouts and More than Music in the park events, among other things.
• We are planning another tour in 2009. Of the more than 100 concerts we are planning, 25 to 50 will be in detention/treatment facilities. We will also be building our media presence with more interviews and TV spots.
• We are working on publishing a couple books by Stephanie Pauline and have many more inspirational texts in the works.
• We also plan to sponsor more missionaries, and the tours of like minded musicians as opportunity arises.

There are many plans in skeletal stages. Our bylaws allow us to start orphanages, music venues, youth centers and more - we haven't seen anything yet. Maybe you have a mission that you want to see come to fruition through MtM. We want to offer the support you need to bring the "kingdom" to earth. This is about so much more than just music.

Stephanie Pauline's Personal Mission

Why? Because I know what it is to be lost. I've been in the tunnel, I've seen the light, and I want those who are about to give up to know that it is there. I know what it is to be forgotten and therefore I want to scream out to the forgotten that they are not forgotten. Because God has His heart beneath my chest, and it beats to bring those who are lost and tired home to a place of security and rest. Because I love truth, and I long for those who feel condemned to know the truth and receive the freedom that they have through Jesus Christ. Because I believe that all sin, all bondage, all fear, is the result of our ignorance to the beauty and love of God, and so I want to introduce people and draw them closer to my Jesus--the pure reflection of God's heart. Because I know the need for encouragement when we're walking out this faith, and therefore, I long to challenge, and support those who are already living out their freedom and spur them onward towards God. Because worship to me is like breathing; it must be done. Because I need...I need to express this "betweenness" that God and I have, I am overflowing. Most of all, I am doing this to bring glory to my God, the one who never forgot me, even for a moment, in all my unfaithfulness, still He did not turn away. He is my one unforsaking thing and that is why.

How? By sharing the songs that God has given me, thereby identifying with those who are lost and tired, those who are in need of encouragement, and those who simply want to celebrate the being of God. By being faithful to the music and the heart God has given me. By not unduly categorizing my music or myself, thereby ostracizing myself from others. By humbly using every aspect, the good and the bad, of my life to speak into people's needs, and be a living example of the healing power of the mercy and grace of God, through the testimony of my gifts given and my life lived. By being faithful and honest about Jesus Christ: who He is, and what He has done for me.

My Mission: "Jesus did not come to gain a place of power. He did not come to defeat human enemies. He did not come to overthrow an unjust government. Jesus came to show the heart of God. A love that is brutally honest about what is going on, but still kneels before us to lay down His life so we can be free from the sin that infects us" - Gene Wilkes, (Jesus on Leadership). Inspired onward by the unveiling of this kneeling Jesus in my own life, my mission is to be a reflection of this same Jesus to all with whom I come in contact throughout life and through my music. To be tenderly faithful to the overwhelming love God has for His children.

In Closing, a Note From Stephanie Pauline - Music is still the sweet balm that God uses to resurrect my heart when it becomes buried under life's strains and stresses. What a joy to carry that resurrection power in song to those in need; dismantling even the toughest defenses, unearthing hearts. The power of this ministry is in the essential quality of love; the true, living, breathing, reality of it, in the tenor of voice, and touch of hand, without the left truly even knowing what the right is doing. The power to love, and trust like this comes from communion with the Spirit of God. Something so beyond ourselves, yet paradoxically, within us as well. We can't conjure it or think our way into it. Through Christ we are freed to live love - that in itself...that substance...is the power to heal, and yes, "to revolutionize this culture, one heart at a time, until everyone on earth knows and lives the love that is in Jesus Christ." This is the heart of MtM. This is my heart laid before you. Thank you for walking with me as I have grown in these years of service to MtM.
